Great information above. Here is a very good thread also that Tissimo mentioned.

I am on my second swap - this time its a 1.5 but I am using a 2jzzgte aristo harness.
Here is a tip but more for someone who has doen it once :
I did not have to extend much of the wires on the harness but I did one before so this time taking shortcuts. I have also removed all TRAC and Automatic and turbo/wastegate related VSV stuff from the harness. After removing everything not needed, and the wiring casing, I was able to have my wiring reach he stock location. The harness is pretting long once everything is open.
I am not extending the wires near the ecu. I ma doing the extension closer to the plugs this time to keep the ecu area civilized.
Only things I am extending are -
- all the injectors, ( 12 wires )
- the B/O wires for the Power to the Injectors and ignitors/coil packs. ( two wires ) ( connects to B1 plug of the 7m harness
- H20, Oil , sensor wires for the gauge. ( M1 plug )
After looking at the 7m wiring diagrams and the Aristo diagrams, the signals for power and sensors work in the same way. I am using the 7m Harness connectors ( B1 , M1 etc ) and splicing the corresponding power wires to make it plug and play.
Also, I have the wiring colors mapped to the big square plug from the aristo harness . it has 50 something wires and most of them go to the Auto tranny/trac or Datalink connector.
Only So far I have used the starter wire, hydrofan wires , and the w20 sensor and a couple more , that's it.
I have a few more that I have forgotten about.
