ok so i have a 1990 mk3 usdm supra turbo and i want to go 2jzgte

my question is do i need to get a different oil pan for the 2jz for the swap i have researched it abit awhile back and i cant remember if it was the 1j or 2j that had to be converted

and should i go with a front clip or just buy the jdm vvti engine with ecu, harness and sensors and what not??

just looking for some informative info before i make the plunge to the world of 2j performance :)

im going to make my self a parts list haha

There is a sticky in this section.
You will need a rear sump oil pan.
Front clip would be th easiest as everything is there just invade you need something.
But you can run the 2j off the 7m electronics and still make the same power ESP if you run stand alone.

i know there is i have been reading them on SM this site and supraforums I couldnt find anything about the oil pans like i remembered reading about

my 7m harnus is about shot to hell and the sensors have about 238k miles on them i think im going to convert and repair what i can with the 2j harness and have dr tweek combine and repair them for me.

thats what i figured about the clip i think im going to stick with stock twins (yes bashing the fire wall a bit) for the time being and upgrade later

so far i need

a radiator (stock is cracked and so is the head gasket on the 7m:( ) and the 2j and a 1j rear sump oil pan i believe correct me if im wrong

Don't need the front clip, unless the engine is using the hydaulic water pump... Then you'd need the fan ECU and rek\laive wiring. Other than that, the entire clip does not offer much more, unless it's a Supra. Then you would have some other parts/wiring that you can use, sell, or whatever. I got an Aristo front clip and am using a US/mechanical fan/waterpump. Gave away the hydra-fane and ECU. Did not need much else from the clip.
