I'm putting an aristo 2jzgte into a mkIII supra. I was originally going to go single but since then I got layed off from work and now i'm just trying to get in the motor in the car for summer. Has anyone taken pictures of where they had to beat the firewall in to make the twins fit? Even if you could give me an estimation that would be great!

thanks

Matt

Not in stock location????? Could you elaborate more on this?

As for beating it, if you go into the stickies of this forum you will find this thread:

Page 2 for me, might be like page 4 for you, it has pictures of where to hammer the firewall. I had to beat the piss out of it, others didn't, but it will show you where to hammer.

Here you go, I only have to knock in the firewall a little about an inch to two. If you have anymore questions let me know.

I cut into my Firewall so i could mount the engine farther back and as low as possible.. its hard to go much lower without dry sump though because the oilpans already pretty low. My car has also been under the knife for way to long .. Hopfully it will be done this spring.. I haven't updated my build thread in like a year :p .

is there any differance if you have JDM or US twins as far as the hammering of the firewall is concerned?

I'm thinking that JDM vrs US may be the factor in how much hammering needs to be done-

I only had to knock mine in ~ 1/4-1/2 inch. Was easily still able to pull the trans in the car.

that sounds more correct, i did mine over a year and a half ago and cant rem. just test fit the engine w/o the intercooler piping and you will see where has to be knocked in and how much.
