2jzge-t Injector and Throttle Body ?'s

So I am finishing up my project (My 2jzge-t Project) and I go to put on the intake manifold with my 7mgte injectors and I notice two things...

1) The injectors that are SUPPOSE to swap over from the 7mgte are stubby and fat compared to the injectors that came with the manifold and don't fit the rail I have. The ones that were in the 2jzge manifold (from an SC300, 96+ I think) are blue and top feed and are skinny and about 1/4-1/2 inch longer

2) The throttle body I have is wide, long, and utterly useless with a huge built in POS traction control system. What aftermarket TB's would bolt up/weld up to the Y pipe on the 95-ish (non-vvti) 2jzge. Mine hits the turbo so I want to get rid of it. That and it's a waste of space and has many unnecessary vacuum tubes

3) What in the hell is with the butterfly plate in the plenum that appears to be vacuum dependent?! The vacuum sensing piece looks like a huge, annoying, fat flying saucer...

Not sure on the 1st 2, but for #3 that's the ACIS butterfly:

"The Acoustic Control Induction System (ACIS) is used on the 7M-GE, 3VZ-FE and 2JZ-GE engines. As with the T-VIS system, the purpose of this system is to improve engine torque throughout the engine rpm range. The system consists of the same basic components as T-VIS and operates similarly. The ACIS system uses a single intake air control valve located in the intake as chamber which effectively changes intake runner length as it opens and closes."

Should I keep it? lol I was about to PM you too, thanks for responding. Which TB and injectors did you use? I'm wondering why the intake runners wont let me plug them in. Then again, I have two of the lower halves of the intake. One from the newer manifold I got a hold of and the other that came with the motor. I will try plugging them into that one and see if they might. I have a feeling they might.

And is there any way you can PM me how you handled the vacuum set-up? Maybe a pic? That would help me immensely!

I left the ACIS connected, the vac line on it runs to a vac port on the underside of the TB. Alot of NA-T people run without it connected too, so the butterfly just stays open.

I was running the 7M injectors before I switched to RX7 680s and they fit fine, but my engine is a '93, not sure if they changed for the later years.

Attached a couple pics of how my vac lines are connected, I ditched all the VSVs and the little canister under the intake manifold.

Hmm, it looks like (after reading a 2jzge vacuum diagram) I will not be using any of that, so less wires for me to deal with :icon_bigg Thank you for the pics! I am going to remove the butterfly valve since boosted applications are useless for it.

I tested my injectors in the older intake runners that the engine came with, apparently the VVT-I motors use different injectors so the 440's DO NOT SWAP into the VVT-I intake manifold setup. I didn't think to ask the guy when I bought the manifold from him, but no big. Now I have unknown sized injectors for sale. What size came with the VVT-I 2jzge from the SC300? I am looking but can't find the info...

Now the question is, how do I use a Q45 TB? I know I need a sensor with it, that wires in. I think. Does anyone have one for sale? I'm just going to have it welded to my Y pipe over the engine, that way it saves a little space before the turbo. Any other ideas on this? I do not have the funds to go FFI, otherwise I would. I am currently searching the forums now for Q45 TB info

Driftmotion sells a nice 90mm TB. It comes with a flange too so it makes it easier to install. They also sells a Q45 TPS that will work with it. On the inectors and intake, you may want to look around for a non VVTI setup. Or you can shim the fuel rail to make it fit other lengths of injectors, if there is room. Clubna-t.com is a good forum for used 2JZGE parts.

Thank you for the info, but the fuel rail fits perfectly now that I am using the old runners with the newer plenum. I am currently scouring the boards and ebay for one that comes with everything. I know DM has one, but it's extra for the other pieces and I don't have money laying around. :biglaugh: I just want it running :icon_evil I'm sooo close...
