Am doing the whole 2jzgeT swap and really can't decide what would be the better route to go on my 2jz. If i utilize the 7m harness i don't have to mess with the body plugs. If am pretty much changing my whole ignition setup to use IS300 coils and running of a standalone either AEM or stinger. What would be the pro/con of each harness. I have both and still wanted to buy a new 7m harness from the dealer if needed to so both harnesses would be in great condition. My guess the 7m harness but i'd figure i'd ask the experts first.

(please correct me if am wrong):
2jzge Pros
1. Harness already laid out exactly for each sensor
2. Newer connectors/ better technology sensors
3. Finding Connectors from the dealer (i've only heard it from 2jz guys saying you can just buy the sensor not sure if you can do the same with the 7m harness)

2jzge Cons
1. Pinning up to body harness connectors
2. lil fabbing to make harness boot fit snug into firewall (my old 7m was pretty much useless so i actually smelled some car fumes when i was driving)

Vs.

7mgte Pros
1. Plug and Play
2. Works with stock dash/electronics
3. Everything bolts up fine

7mgte Cons
1. extend wires
2. rework wiring loom
3. older technology harness/connectors

I did the wiring work on my 7M harness. I had to buy another one just because I didnt want to use my old one. You really don't have to de-loom the harness to re-loom it again. You can and it will look a lot more clean. Or you can do what I did and just extend the wires that you need for the correct size, get stuff to loom the extensions and tape them.

Working well for me so far!
