Hi All
Currently I'm running 1jz manual in to my R32 & plan to swap the 2jz complete block & head. My concern
1. Can I use the existing 1jz ECU & loom (I'm worry on the both 1jz & 2jz stroke re different)
2. If NO, can I use 2jz ECU in 1jz loom by changing the ECU pin lay-out

All this concern due I got 2jz complete engine BUT without ECU harness & transmission.

Thanks in advance.

The wiring does work, and i believe the ecu works also. I am not 100 percent sure about the ecu, but wiring is a ok.

dont think you can rev to the 1jz's rev limit you'll be stuck at the 2jz's lower rev limit

Why not. I do it.

With the 2JZ's increased stroke, you're going to have 20% more volume than the ECU thinks. To compensate, you need 20% larger fuel injectors (440cc will be close enough).

Everything else will be fine.

In my r32 i have complete 1jz with full ecu wiring & ecu but I'm plan to swap the 2jz engine & remain the 1jz ecu wiring & ecu.
This 2jz engine i bought without engine wiring.

you'll have to do something with the gauge temperature sensor in the water neck.

The 1JZ sensor is too big to fit into the 2JZ motor, and the 2JZ sensor has a different connector on it.

The oil pressure sensor is different too, but they can be interchanged.

Other than that, wiring is pretty much plug for plug.

everything from my 1jz harness pluged into my usdm 2j.i did swap out the upper intake for a jdm one because it has the air intake temp sensor.
