So I got a 60mm EGT gauge and I searched and found that tapping it at the #6 was good but the #1 was good too. Well Where in the hell can I do this pre turbo on a twin turbo manifold?
I know its bad to tap it at the down pipe, but would it be ok to get a minor reading? Right now taking the engine out and pulling off the turbos is not an option currently. I can do it later on, but I need to get this running right now.

BTW this is only thread I found.

EGT after turbo is pointless.

Why?

How much heat is the turbo pulling from the exhaust?
In you case how much heat are TWO turbos pulling from the exhaust?

Temprature coefficent for the turbo is not linear.

well here is the "other" issue.

Just because one cylinder is spot on does not mean the others are. Technically, you want one for each cylinder.

One. Well you are hoping the other are within 1% of that cylinder.

Now unless you do ALS (Anti-lag system). the EGT monitoring will not buy you anything when isolated to just one cylinder.
