you cant use a m series fan on a jz clutch or a m series clutch/pulley on a jz waterpump the bolt patterns are different . the clutch is also a little smaller than the jz one i would have used it to save money if it were possible (of course without drilling but i never like to rig it like that). that almost looks like a normal jz fan clutch with a non turbo jz fan. notice how it sits on the clutch itself and mine, the turbo jz fan sits just a little further out, thats the difference between a non turbo jz fan and a turbo one. but i would need to see a wider picture as the turbo m series had i think 2 more blades on it.

i honestly never would have figured a 1uz fan clutch would have worked either though.

ive never tried to use the 1jz fan clutch mainly because they werent available heh and the 1jz's i worked on came with hydro water pumps not sure if the m fan bolts to it or what i only used 2jz mkiv/sc300 stuff when dealing with the jz engines that i worked on and never ran into a problem. the fan clutches are cheap off off junker lexus and the fan new is 90$ or so maybe less from toyota and if i didnt use a 1jz or 2jz clutch pulley i used the aluminum ones from driftmotion.

Yeah the ls400 clutch was a solution that Driftmotion told me about.

But I believe your right about that fan assy being 1jz in the pic. After looking through my receipts I did pick one of those up between all the swapping and trying to make it fit I tried several different combination's. But the final solution was a LS400 fan clutch with a 7M-GTE fan assy. bolted to it.

Your going to need a LOT more cash than 3k for a 2jz swap. Even the big parts, are going to cost you that much, not including the tons of little shit you will need along the way.
