i'm doing a 2jz swap into my 87 5spd.

so far this is what i purchased

2jz-gte (harness+ecu)
2jz motor mounts from BIC
1jz flywheel
7m/1jz clutch kit
1jz bellhousing
2.5" intercooler pipes
FMIC
ssac t70 t3 turbo
550cc inj and fuel rail from USDM mkiv
mkiv gauge cluster
MAF
fuel pump 255 lph
t4 exhaust manifold
SAFC II
K&N FIPK
Greddy oil catch can

i plan on getting the LC-1 wideband and i think i need 1jz flywheel bolts.
i aslo want to get HKS cam gears and an AFPR. i've seen ones on ebay for cheap and was wondering if they would be good enough. it beats paying $150 for an aeromotive AFPR

what else do i need to do this swap. what have you guys bought?

If you need flywheel bolts like you say, Driftmotion has a nice set of ARP flywheel bolts for a great price.:naughty:

i wouldn't get one of those no name afpr's. go with one that's proven already like the aeromotive that u mentioned. i'd rather pay $150 than $2500-$3000 for another motor.

1jz ecu and harness with a jumper harness (driftmotion makes them for about 100 bucks) would make the 2jz plug and play. 1jz ecu will get you to the dyno, but I would get it tuned quick though. Seems like you got alot of stuff and I don't know much about the safc2, but you may need something like an e-manage ultimate to help tuning (especially if your getting a lc-1).

Also you probably need a power steering hose if plan on retaining it. Again driftmotion sells steel braided ones for about $100.

Maybe since your engine is out it may be a good time to change front and rear main seals. Possibly your timing belt.

If you want to keep your stock oil pressure gauge you may want to get the adapter for the line. Driftmotion has them for like 20 bucks I think (don't quote me on that one).

I think you should be set though. Just as a warning though I have heard that ssac turbos don't last long so maybe thinking about precision turbo in the near future. Anyways good luck and post the progress with the pics!

Means that if you got your motor out of an aristo and not a supra than you need to do the conversion since the sump will not clear your crossmember. I think it costs like 250 bucks to do it. Call aaron at driftmotion and he can help you. Be sure to bring your "to buy list" and he will hook you up.

i went to toyota and they printed out a picture of the oil sump from an mkiv and it is the same as the one i have now. from 94 to 98 they're all the same...front sump....
this is what they gave me for a 94 supra turbo...it looks the same as what i have now
