Did you check the 1jz 2jz section? Are you doing it all yourself? Going 5speed,6speed or auto?

As someone said in another post "open door fill car with money, then repeat"

Very detailed info here. Will have to do some browsing as everything is in a dropdown format. Highlight modifications>other engines>

I am going 6speed and me and my dad and a friend are doing this to my car,my dads been a mechanic since he was 19 and he's 51 now.

You have the newer chassis so the motor mounts are the same so that is good. Sourcing a 6speed will probably be a fun task. Check out the two places I mentioned. Search is your friend. Also do a search for 1/2 clips. Jarco is pretty well respected. Titanmotorsports is in orlando and is also great source.

6 speed's gear ratios will fucking suck unless you swap out the diff as well...

might as well stick with the R154 (your current tranny if you're stick) and swap out the bell housing off a 1JZ-GTE (2.5L of the same engine, but it uses the 7MGTE turbo tranny as well)..

search is your friend, really. on average 1 person a week asks about the 2jz and its more than covered. if your dad is a mechanic than none of the install will be a problem.

BIC makes the mounts (depending on where you get your engine from), everything else is really easy. i say you should go with a r154 and a good clutch or a built auto but whatever floats your boat.

I agree save the money and use it towards a single. Twins are fun but lil on slow side of the spectrum.

yeah when I do get the engine I am getting a powerhouse racing turbo kit for it to make it single turbo and also it will be a JDM most likely cause they are easier to find
