2jz swap... and tranny questions

For everyone's info the only thing that bolts up is the dowel pins. The flywheel has to be redrilled to suit the 7M clutch bolt holes.
BTW now would be a great time to tell me what else needs modifying while I still have the motor/tranny out of the car.

Also, found out that the 2JZGE flywheel is thinner than the 1JZ. I can imagine this affects junk with slave cylinder rod. Anything else

my setup is
2JZ-GTE motor
2JZ-GE flywheel
1JZ Bellhousing
R154
7M-GTE 6 puck ACT clutch and pressure plate
stock drive shaft (lil tight but it works)
Thanks Mike, I dug up some old threads but they seemed negative and mrsuprafreak didn't respond to my PM. I was starting to get concerned that further modification was necessary.
I am actually gonna sell the 2J flywheel and brand spankin new spec stage 3 clutch. The day the flywheel was dropped off to be drilled, I found and bought the clutch that I had been looking for all along. It's a twin disc
Just gotta wait 5 more posts until I can do a 4 sale thread

I've always wondered about a 2jzgte flywheel with a 2jzgte PP and a custom Disc (with r154 spline count) anyone know if it'd be possible? would open up a lot of options for clutches on jz swapped cars.. (and seeing how single discs have no problems with 600+whp in mkivs)

tissimo, yeah from all input given just drill and tap 6 new holes for the 7M clutch. Like I said, I am going to sell the one I am having redrilled. It's been resurfaced once. $100 + ship if you like

haha I'll let you know.. I need a clutch&FW for my 1.5jz.. but current plans are to use my 2j cars clutch and FW and buy a tripple carbon for the 2j (going 71+ when I do go single) so it has the FW too.. just ahve to sell my 87 to afford the clutch!Jacob said:Congrats bro!
