I know of a guy selling stock twins off a 97 and they only has 8700 miles on them. I know this to be true. He is a trustworthy guy. They have been sitting for awhile and he wants 150 for them.. Is that a good price and would these turbos work on a 1JZ?? I would be getting the entire twin turbo setup. Exhaust manifold and all the ducting as well.

It's a good price for low milage great condition stock twins.
But the exhaust manifold won't match up to the 1JZ head...the exhaust port pattern is not the same as the 2JZ.

But would the turbos be of any use to me?? I am 7m right now but plan on a 1j swap in the near future.
This information comes from long memory, but on SF, I read that the 2JZ twins are completely incompatible with the 1JZ exhaust arrangement. The exhuast manifold bolt arrangement is different, the mounting of the turbine housings are different, as well as the turbos being different physical sizes; meaning the 2JZ twins will not fit in place of the 1JZ twins.

I don't see it as an interesting, viable option but that doesn't mean it's impossible. Anything is possible with effort and money.
I have no plans for them. I was talkin with a couple other supra owners and he mentioned he would give them to me for 150. I figured I would see if I would be able to use them at all without having a 2J. I figured most with 2J's are swapping out for a single so there may be a lot of them floating around so wouldnt be worth much unless I could use them. If anyone wants them Ill pick them up and send em to ya for not much more than I pay for them...If someone wants to make me an offer for them let me know. I will need to add shipping from 14580 and a little extra cash for gas to go get them. MODS??? Do I need to make a for sale thread?? If I broke any rules of the forum please let me know.
