That's pretty scary... time to invest in a scatter shield? Does the loctite require a curing period before it's good to go? Even loctite red, I'm sure a flywheel/clutch/engine area would create enough heat to render loctite less effective.

I had a similar thing happen with my last MKIII on a high speed pull. Ended up with one bolt left with maybe 5ft/lbs worth of torque left on it. Broke it loose with my finger. The rest were backed out and snapped off. Scared the shit out of me to say the least.

Speaking of which, anyone know where to find a 7M to R154 scatter shield? lol

Its funny, every time I've seen posts showing backed out flywheel bolts, there is always something in common. ARP bolts. I'd buy a toyota bolt or two and compare bolt lengths. I have a feeling there are some subtle length differences.

Well, got it back together. Ended up getting new bolts, loctite 272, and this time I let it cure for two days before dropping oil in. I'm hoping that was the issue before, since we only gave it about 6-8 hours before filling it up and used 240-something I think red. Was debating doing the whole safety wire dealio, but didn't want to risk fucking it up since I've never done it before. Also picked up one of those RCI scatter blankets, fits perfect, thanks for the idea.
The bike was a newer Honda 750 I believe. Nothing spectacular but I believe those are 10-11 sec bikes, I could be wrong though. That was also on 12-13 pounds. Upped it to 20 a few days ago, she's a real handful now.

That was still only on 12, just testing shit out. Seems to be holding solid so far.
