Man, instead of swapping in that 2JZ for 16K+----> id take that 16 grand and dump it in that s2000 wit hthe original engine.

Turbo s2000's are fast.

its pretty neat but I agree with joe on how it messes up the cars balance. I have always like the s2000 but never liked its engine. That is a car that would be fun with a na v6, maybe a 3.5VQ would be nice.

The S2k needs a lot of upkeep... they change their trans fluid just as much as they do their oil (almost)... my brother has one and I like to drive it, but always liked my Supra more. The only thing I enjoy about the S2k is having VTECH kick in and being able to hit 9 grand (the 2.0 will hit it, but the 2.2 won't) I don't like the idea of it being a Honda... thats my input, and as far as the swap goes, I think that car needs Toyota's help. Oh and the other thing, they definetely didn't know what the fuck they were doing with that RX-7.... plain and simple.

EDIT! Toyota gave it some straight line help, that thing probably won't ever handle the same way it did coming out of the factory... on that aspect, its not that great... I believe that the people behind this swap are just like the people putting big screen TV's into small trunks, they are just good fabricators, not really good tuners... its almost the same as putting say a 350 or even a 502 into a geo metro... of course its going to haul ass, but is it really all that practical? On that note.. I really don't like the idea behind all of it. Keep the stock engine in that type of car, when you buy one of those your pretty much paying the equivalent to the down payment of a house, it should already out perform most modern vehicles.

I'm NOT a fan of putting anything but the original engine in an S2K for the fact that the S2K is one of the most perfectly engineered cars ever built as far as handling ability, and putting that heavy ass cast iron block Inline-6 in there is murder. I'd take a comptech supercharged S2K any day of the week, though. :D

Ok...first off why?!?!? besides it being an insane swap and making big numbers in a somewhat light car now...........and second off toyota engines like the 2J need to stay with toyota.......... cross swapping like that is completely wrong IMHO

ding ding ding! we have a winner!

The 2J is becoming the Small Block Chevy of the import world... ;) Everyone is afraid of that motor... "what do yu have in there?" 2jz... "2JZ? NO SHIT!?" yeah, it terrifies all...

I know this car, its a local car... The owner is cool.. But his nutswingers are the douche patrol... *stereo typical honduh rice* My buddy has a STS turbo'd firebird, will let you know how that race turns out, if yur interested... I told him to race the guy from a dig... ;)

From what I heard today, they got the car boosting 25psi now... Its a handful... They said the car got squirelly really bad at about 140mph, and he almost pitched it... This of course, goes back to the whole weight change with the new motor... Handling is going to be like shit... I just hope the guy doesnt throw into the ditch or a wall before I get my car done... I want a piece of this...
