Whats up guys I'm Marq from Tennessee and I'm in the process of installing my 2jzgte into my r32 skyline. It might not be as cool as those guys from Thailand with awd 2jz but I believe I'm the first in the states. Looking to start posting and talking to you guys.

Hmmm, interesting project idea. I am wondering why you wouldn't stay with the RB26DETT? It is a powerful motor in its own right. However, I am interested in your progress... any pictures?

Sounds like an interesting build. Let me guess: You got a lower model with say a rb20 and wanted more power but you don't want to fool around with Importing the RB26-25motor, trans, ect, and aftermarket parts? At any rate, Welcome and +1 to pics and location in Tennessee. I have seen one R32 and one R33 here in memphis...

Assuming the car has an RB26... There are many trims of the Skyline, you know. He never said it was a GT-R.

I thought R32's had RB20's or 25's, depending on whether or not they were GTS or GTR?:dunno:

Went and did some research. Didn't know they came in so many different models.
R32 Models:
Stolen from wiki:
GXi Type-X - 1.8 L CA18i I4, 91 hp (67 kW)
GTE Type-X - 2.0 L RB20E I6, 125 hp (93 kW, 152 N m)
GTS Type-X, S, J - 2.0 L RB20DE I6 155 hp (115 kW, 154 N m)
GTS-25 Type-X, S, XG - 2.5 L RB25DE I6, 180 hp (132 kW, 231 N m)
GTS-t Type-M - 2.0 L RB20DET turbo I6, 212 hp (158 kW, 263 N m)
GTS-4 - 2.0 L RB20DET turbo I6, 212 hp (158 kW, 263 N m)
GTS-4 - 2.6 L RB26DE I6, 225 hp (169 kW, Autech Version - auto only
GT-R - 2.6 L RB26DETT twin-turbo I6, 280 hp (186 kW, 368 N m) also NISMO, V-Spec and V-Spec II variants.

AWD was only avaliable on gtr and gts-4.

I want to know which motor he had to start with. I can definatly understand the switch to a JZ if he had anything lower than a 2.6 turbo.

Well, I guess it doesn't matter what motor it comes with because being able to get a Skyline in North America is bragging rights in itself. Perhaps other states has it much easier, but legally owning a Skyline in California is very costly if not impossible.

Oh yeah, how about some pictures of the R32.

This was at nopi with a goldish orange color we kinda made up with the new work xd-9 wheels. It was 3 colors in less than a year.:aigo:

The car is a gtst with a rb20det but it's also the lightest model. I never thought I would own a skyline but it actually came to me. The reason I didn't go with the rb26 is cause the motor is VERY VERY EXPENSIVE!!! The price of the rb26 is the price I will be spending on the full single turbo 2jz. As far as the swap I 'm using a 240sx x-member(free) with 240 2jz swap mounts (easy and cheap 350). The motor was 1800 shipped from osaka and the drive shaft is only $300 from a local guy in Nashville. I'm using usdm 550cc($100),ebay manifold($125),vrp67 turbo($700),and a tial 38mm(200). It was just the smartest thing to do. Plus it's the only one in the states. I will have some pictures up as soon as my mounts come in so be looking out very soon. When it comes back to the street it will be satin white with a black top...LAST COLOR.

Personaly I would be tempted to paint it black again. Your car is very nice and would love to watch the now required build thread.
