Easiest way to do a 2jz swap is to get a 1jz clip and a 2jz engine. Put all the 1jz peripherals on the 2jz long block and drop it in the car, then sell the 1jz long block.

thats what i wanted to do, but 1jz front clips are pricey :(

I'm assuming you're using a 2JZ aristo harness? If it's anything like a usdm 2JZ harness in terms of fusebox and dash connectors, then it really isn't all that difficult.

I'm in the process of modifying a usdm 2JZ harness to work in my friend's MK3 and it is a lot easier than I thought. I was surprised about how similar the A70 and A80 harnesses are. supras.nl is a great resource.

Ohhhh.....So basically you want something cheap, and easy, and reliable. :biglaugh:

who doesnt! :):). i just dont have (close to) 3 extra thousand to spend solely on a 1jz front clip (maybe im just looking in the wrong places :( ) and i already have many of the parts i need i would otherwise get from a 1jz...

aristo = to the ecu they are similar if not the same but the body connectors are different. the aristo has this big block thing to plug in :(
