Who cares? It's not a Supra! I hate REs myself. And people say the 1JZ is a torqueless wonder.

don't matter a turbocharged car is a turbocharged car, SRT-4/MK3/STI/EVO
they all got BOV just didn't sound turbo to me. even the riced clipse was turbo :p.

Rotary is Top end torque. forgot at what RPMs. Like 7k isn't it?

yes, but not much torque...

they're fast because it's a light car and spins up fast along with decent gearing...

they did put the rotary in a truck... it failed horribly...

Yea Rotary in a truck ain't working :p. remember the 13b is only a 1.3L and the 20B is 2.0L so they are small little motors :p but they do have have much better displacement all together and gearing. There was more to it ahh w/e :p

Im not even going to get started on that movie. Its like the kid hanging out at am/pm with his bright yellow jdm focus sport rt type R gave them the technical terms they needed. What standalone fuel management system is worth $10k and is distinguishable by looking at a pile of blue vacuum lines?

btw the veilside FD didn't sound Turbo at all. No BOV or anything
There were no n/a FD Rx-7s.

Can't really expect a hollywood movie to be accurate though. They will sacrifice realism for what's entertaining.

They're fun movies if you don't read too much into them.

there is a rotary pickup? whats it called?

hmmmm

and i agree with the above point - good movies - absolutely SHITTY realism.

but then again every space movie that's good has spectacular sounds in space. you can't hear shit in a vacuum. so there. that just made a hell of a lot of good movies completely stupid.

and the weightlessness testing in that huge hangar in Armageddon? why did they suck the air out? so feathers will fall faster? So you have a chance of dieing if you open you suit? the gravity is still there-- it would be nothing like space. good grief. :3d_frown: :3d_frown: :sarcasm:

The rotory pickup was called...

Mazda Rotory Pickup.

I think they only made them in 78 or 79. One year only type of thing. I know a guy who has one in MINT shape, with only about 15K on it. It's a real beauty, too.
