My nephew Sean (funky_monkey58) and I are close to firing up the 2JZ. This is Casio's old set up. It has been a crazy busy summer with Sean and I involved in Truax Motorsports, plus working full time jobs and so we havn't had as much time as we would have liked to, to work on her.
We are looking for a basemap to our Megasquirt setup. I have read every damn thread that comes up with a search and it seems there are a few guys who have MS systems, but no one with a MS on a 2jz??? Getting her to fire up so we can drive her into the tuners shop will save us money. We plan to break her in (we went throught engine) and tune her at the same time. Here is a thread about break in I found on Supraforums.

Below is our set up. It would have been nice to leave the whole thing in Cassio's car but mine is a hell of a lot nicer, and I hate black paint.

If you have MS on a 1jz or 2jz. Please email me @ truaxmotorsports@gmail.com.

I've got a Stinger EMS Map for my 2JZGE-T on 870cc injectors (flow about 715cc comparing this map to my 550cc map by %) w/ a T70. I'd be happy to send you that map to give you a good baseline. You'd have to manually type it into your MS software after opening it in the stinger software.

The timing map is pretty decent too, but 20+PSI it's very conservative.

Just figured I'd offer incase you can't find anything else.

hottscennessey,
Thanks for the offer. I will take it. I hope I can get a few more responses. One would think that there must be more than just a handful of us 2JZ/MKIII guys out there.
What kind of numbers is your car making? Sean and I hope for 550 or so. This winter we will be adding aftermarket cams and doing interior work.
Do you know is it possible to do the same if a friend has an AEM on his 2JZ? Sean is pretty good friends with Dave Henry from Fargo. Daves the guy with the real fast Ford Probe powerd by a 2JZ. He has helped us out on several occassions so I hate to bug him. I had hoped to just find a friendly MS owner to trade a few emails with.

Regards,

Dan

I'll email you my map as soon as I get back to my house later tonight. I'm hoping to make 500+ RWHP.

AEM and MS should all be compatable as long as the standalones are on the same injector time scale.

That 2JZ Probe is amazing, seems like he's the guy to talk to.

I can't seem to get the attachment to open. What program do you open it with?? Can you sent it to me in a different format? The link to Stinger works just fine.

Thanks,

Dan

I have an msq for my 6m with 720's; it can get you started with a 'base'. Load it and play around with the req fuel to get it to idle. As for ignition, you're on your own; I'm running VR on the dizzy to HEI for conditioning and MSD6A

I'm in the hospital with my dad. I'll get the MSQ to you when I go home (soon I hope)

I'm running megasquirt v2.2 on my Mazda and this guy builds/installs/tunes them.

His name is Jordan, find him on AOL as: SHAODOME and/or MegasquirtMX6

well for an update...

The 12 tooth wheel on the stock 2jzgte doesnt seem to want to give me a signal. So we are now in the process of waiting for a 36-1 wheel and will be mounting it on the crank pulley.

As far as ignition goes Im trying to run wasted spark off of three coil drivers in the ecu.

There will be more to come when its running.
