HAH! wow you just opened up a huge can of worms :biglaugh:

And I LOVE it. I sold my 7ms. That's enough for me and theres no reason to argue anything. It's completely fair it's not in a 7m subforum. :)

Yeah I think I will try porting them. If it is succesful, then with a cutout I should basically have boost anytime I step on the throttle.

If it doesnt work.. hell JDM twins go for around 50-100 bucks a set. So im out a few bucks and go US twins.

I drove a subaru Last summer with a 4" inch cutout big cold are and larger intercooler. Only around 280-300HP, and definitly not the fastest thing i've ever driven but it was definitly one of the most fun. It had boost litterally everywhere.. it was near impossible to drive down the road in traffic without making boost. it wasnt Daily driver material, but my supra's not going to be a DD. Thats what im shooting for.

do you have any plans on the porting? who will do that? or are you going to try and take it on?
I looked at a 06 sti before I started my 1jz swap. I agree throttle response is where it's at. if I decide to upgrade turbos it will be a twin dbb setup.

I think I can tackle the porting. Its not going to be anywhere near as critical as a head port. The stock wastegate really has no great flowpath anyway so anything should be an improvement.

After I port it I'm going to have the entire housing High temp ceramic coated. Which will drastically bring down the temps on the housing and help keep the thinner material from cracking. And if I blow a turbo i can just swap the housing onto the next one.

When I get it done ill keep the forum updated, and if all goes well maybe do a write-up or offer the service to other members.
I do have access to a Dyno so I'll be able to compare to a US car with similar mods
