Is the oil pan from a 2JZ-GTE the same as the one from a 1JZ-GTE? Are they compatable? Will I be able to use a 2JZ-GTE oil pan on my 1JZ-GTE? Size difference? Any cross member clearance issues? Thanks.

He is right....just in case you needed a 2nd opinion :)

Well, as long as it's a mid sump I'll agree. The front sumps from the aristos will fit the motor, but not MKIII's...

Technicalities....:icon_bigg

You are right...I just gave a generic answer to a generic question :)
BTW: A sump from a Lexus sc300 2jz will work - just need to drill the holes out for the oil retun...its already stamped.

Oh really! Toyota has an oil pan for a Toyota motor? That's crazy! I thought I'd be able to pick one up at KIA. Just joking guys! :biglaugh: I should have been a bit more clear. I should have asked if anyone had a spair one laying around for sale or if there was anywhere that was selling an aftermarket one.

So if I were to go to Toyota and pick up the lower oil pan from a 2JZ-GE from a Supra, then it will fit on my 1JZ-GTE and fit into my mkIII Supra? And it will be cheaper then the lower pan from a 2JZ-GTE?
