Hi all, I'm soon to be starting a 2JZ-GE NA-T on 7M electronics, and I was wondering about a flywheel for this application.

I will be daily driving this car or driving it very often and was aiming for 375 to 400 horsepower. I plan on running the ACT HD clutch (stage 3 rated at 408 ft/lbs). So, what should I be looking into for a flywheel, an aluminum, steel, or light weight steel? I'm unsure of the lighter weight flywheels, because I have never driven a car that had one, so I do not know if it will be suitable for a daily driver. Any help in the right direction or opinions would be great! Thanks.

You will for sure be fine with a stock flywheel up to and probably over 500whp. So anything under that you can stick with the stock flywheel and be fine. If your using an R-154 trans, you can source a stock 1J flywheel for $150 to $200. I think i got lucky and picked mine up for $100.

Make sure you break the ACT clutch in per ACT instructions. I didnt break my ACT in fully when I swapped my 2j. The clutch sticks itself to the flywheel if I launch the car now. Come to find out its because I didnt break it in per ACTs instructions.
