I have a freshly rebuilt 2JZ-GE with stock rods and pistons uncut head and block stock valves etc. The only mods to the motor thus far are arp main studs rod bolts and head studs. Im going to be doing the NA>T setup on this motor as soon as its in the car. Car will be tuned with AEM EMS for a 7M since Im using the 7M harness. What thickness MHG would you recommend for a safe compression ratio somewhere in the 8:9:1 or 9:0:1 range I assume??? Im lost when it comes to this particular measurement. The car is going to have cams meth etc... however stock ge internals.

Thanks In Advance
BJ

Check out threads by p5150 on www.clubna-t.com and he has a formula for figureing out the compression. Of course you'll need to know a few things about the motor, but I'm sure they have all of those numbers over there now that I think about it.

I looked BJ, but I couldn't find his name on the user list. I know he made a sticky over there when I was doing mine.

We know it would lower it, but what would it lower it too?

I ended up with a 2.0 mm on my 1.5jz and my compression ended up being 8.67:1
