2jz Clutched Fan?

Just something our group of AZ guys have noticed.

I talked to the guy who will be working on my car, we are most likely going to chop the water neck and re-weld. Thanks!

lol @ folks just noticing the water necks are different sizes.. anyhow, the GTE clutch and GE fanblade on my 1J gave a ton of clearance for aftermarket rad (just slight trimming, otherwise it was slightly scuffing my upper rad hose).

Another thing to remember is 2JZGTE's have the water neck on the left, while 2JZGE's have the water neck on the right..

I ended up buying a set of IS300 electric fans. Some of the mk4 guys have been using them with great luck, so i'll see how they work. If they don't keep up, then ill probably come back to the idea of using a mechanical fan.
