I have no clue, I do know the intake manifold and exhaust manifolds are not because of difference in bolt pattern or port math up, so I'd highly doubt the cams are interchangeable.

on the ge id also guess that there is a drive gear for the distributor, which the gte wouldnt have, but no idea if that would affect if they can be interchanged

i agree with you it isnt a direct swap due to the distributor gear. if you grind off the gear then you can drop the NA cams in the turbo head

the reason I asked was because we all know the na and turbo 7m cams will interchange under the same circumstances. just a thought.

Yea, the difference would be the distributor drive gear. weather or not that would prevent you using it, I'm not sure.

But finding turbo cams really isn't that hard.

i realize the gears on the distributer and cps are the same for the 7m, i was wondering if this was the case for the 2jz motors as well. Another question was since the 1jz head can fit on the 2jz, are those cams interchangable as well?

P.S. Im not sure if there are any modifications that need to be done to the head to make this work.

Aftermarket cams for the GE head are made now.. do some searching on supraforums...

otherwise, no you can't use GTE cams in the GE motor.

And yes, you can modify at any machine shop 2JZGTE cams to fit in a 1JZGTE head... but 1JZGTE aftermarket cams are preffered as they are designed for the better flowing head.
