2JZ Auto To Manual List

Ok i want to do the conversion from auto to stick but i need to know all the parts i would need down to last detail just in case of anything because im not sure of everything i need only some parts. I know we have some talented individuals here who can help me out :icon_bigg

P.S - The parts list im trying to make are for an R154 so correct me on anything if im wrong.

See if im right about this im not sure.

• Manual R154 5spd tranny
• 5spd drive shaft (get u-joints replaced N make sure to align it properly)
• 5spd 1JZ flywheel**
• 5spd 1JZ flywheel & bolts**
• pilot bearing (for flywheel)
• rear transmission seal!
• rear main engine seal!
• throw out bearing
• two hydraulic lines
• lower and two side covers plates for tranny bell housing
• slave cylinder
• hardpipe
• clutch pedal assembly
• 5spd brake pedal assembly
• shifter (make sure all the rubber covers included)
• shifter boot ( with lower metal frame ?)
• rubber cover for bottom of shifter
• 5spd ECU (Auto ECU Works)
• master cylinder
• trans crossmember
• clutch release fork and pin
• clutch
• clutch hub and snap rings
• clutch disk
• clutch plate
• driver side? engine-trans "wing" bracket
• shifter bushings
• lower trans inspection cover

this is what i've come up with so far.

correct me if i'm wrong on anything, posted a part wrong or name , or double posted a part or something. Also if you can give Part Numbers that would be nice. thanks =).

auto ecu will work fine.

i think you'll need 1jz bellhousing. as well as a 1jz flywheel. or what someone wrote as 'order a 7m flywheel and have 2j pattern drilled into it'. someone correct me if im wrong

yup, 1JZ Bellhousing for R154 (I got mine from Jay @ Champion Toyota), 1JZ Flywheel for R154

the rest will be the same as if you were doing an auto to 5spd conversion in an 7MGTE MKIII.

c_ronius is right, your auto ECU will work fine.

Is the pilot bearing for the 2JZ, same as the 7M?

I have 2 of 'em on hand for mating the tranny up today, but the dealer's parts counter is closed. Just hoping someone can verify before I get started later today.

Apparently this isn't correct. I thought I remembered reading it working but I was corrected in another thread. My apologies.

My 2JZ-GE now has a R154 On it now =).
