Hey guys,
I can't seem to find the info I've collected for these connections. Maybe if we can consolidate this info in one thread, we can add it to a sticky or sumthin'..

Car = 2JZ, 89+, 5-speed, ABS... dash harness is still for auto

Reverse lights - I remember these coming from 2 of the Aristo auto-harness plugs.
ABS - 3 wires spliced into the rear ABS sensor on tranny
Neutral start - I have the connector to use with the clutch pedal and want to wire it up to the plug which went to the Aristo auto tranny. So that the pedal works as it does in an original 5-speed MKIII.

I think this would address the cruise control deal, but if someone has something else to add for that, please do so.

E

PM I received with info...

For reverse and ABS, you have to run the wires all the way from the body plugs to the sensors since the Aristo harness doesn't have these signals. The neutral safety switch is a function of the body harness. If you plug a 5spd harness right in without wiring up the switch on the clutch, the starter will work without having to push the pedal in. Just make sure that the wire on the body plug (engine harness) goes directly to the starter relay. Check it with a multi-meter if you have doubts.

Do you know which wires for these sensors? Mainly the ABS and Reverse lights. My tranny has two plugs coming out , one from the tail end and the other is from the passenger side.

The sensor on the tail must be the ABS abs am not sure about the other one.

Thanks,
Moe.

If U R talking about the R154, then the 2-wire deal at the top of the tranny (passenger-side) is for reverse lights and as I remember it, the triangular 3-wire connector is for the rear spead sensor/ABS.

I may tackle these this weekend. I'll provide wire color info and connectors used (at the dash and in the engine bay) etc, once I'm done.

If someone else already has the info, please post it up.

Anyone tackle these yet? I am going to try and Fing finish things tomorrow. I just have so much left to do, that doing alot of wire tracing/guessing is probably not gonna happen.

Somebody make this easy/clear for me please... which plugs/wires from the Aristo harness for Neutral start & which for ABS?

Made alot of progress today with alot of other stuff. Messed with some of the wiring, but still did not wire up the neutral start.

I am using the auto dash harness, auto-Aristo engine harness, and the pigtail connector to the clutch. How can I wire up the pigtail to make it so that the starter/relay will engage when I push the clutch in? I really do not want to bypass it.

Thanx!!

Any luck? I played around with the reverse light but still does not light up :(
My ABS plug has a square plug from the snesor. B3 connector needs two of those wire...but color is different :(

Actually been searchin' and doing my homework on it... mainly for using the clutch switch to start.

I'll take alook at the ABS and reverse lights tomorrow (I am off of work this week, YAY!).

Basically, I want to still have the clutch-start feature and am trying to do it in the right way. Seen many posts about using a relay, but nothing on wiring it up. There's a green/white and a white/black (ground?) that come from the switch at the pedal and I want to wire them into the dash harness to trip the starter relay like it should (while using the Aristo-auto engine harness).

Tell me how to do the above the right way, please :-/

I'll start working on the ABS/Reverse lights in the AM. I am fairly sure I know what's to be done with 'em... Let me wire it up and confirma nd give you the details tomorrow.

PM me your number... I'll send you mine. Have a couple of other "double-check" kinda questions I'd like to run past you, to make sure I'm wiring other things up right.

Well... finally figured out why it wouldn't crank. Seems the black wire needs to be connected at the starter, instead of dangling there. Dawgonit! Dunno how it got unplugged, but all set now.

Gonna get back to it and actually start it. Waiting for the camcorder to recharge.

I'll get you that infor for the ABS and Reverse lights in a bit. I still do want to make it so that the clutch pedal has to be pushed to start...

Ninja edit...
REVERSE LIGHTS = Plug at the tranny has a black and a white wire... White goes to the M1 connector at the dash, #1 pin (Red/black wire). The black wire goes to the M1 #2 pin (Yellow).

Nice Awesome. I know I have that Reverse light wires figured, but the black and white at the switch threw me off. I will look to make sure they are at the right pins.

Now if you can determine which wire connects to the the corresponding pins at the ABS connector. I do not have a 7m harness to reference to and my connector is square with three pins.

This may help you with your clutch / neutral start :

Gonna figure the ABS out today... I forgot I had removed the speed sensor on my spare tranny, so I have to get back under the car to figure that one out. I am using the extra 1JZ and 7M harnesses I have, to trace things out.

I'll let ya know what I find...

Hey Suprastanger...

Thanx for the link!! Sent ya a PM with my number. In my haste to get around the neutral start, I rewired some of my basic connections... Need your help, to figure out which wires/pins on the ECU, to hook up the basic power wires again.

From the C1 plug by the battery... Pin #1 black/yellow and Pin #2 black/orange... I thought I had the black/yellow hooked up to the #33 white/red at the ECU's single plug and can't remember wher I had the black/orange hook up before...

Tired, irritable and just been a bit hasty trying to get done. I'll go get the ABS info now, but am hoping you can set me skrait again.

Thanx,
E

Okay I called ya and left you a message :

Here goes :

Black/Orange = M-Relay = Pin # 24 ( EFI Main Relay )

Black/Red = B+ = Pin # 31 ( EFI Main Relay )

Black/Yellow = BATT = Pin # 33 ( Battery )

Got your message... Very kewl, thank you!! So it should be...

Black/Orange = M-Relay = Pin # 24 ( EFI Main Relay )--- Supposed to be a grey wire, but looks white (right)?

Black/Red = B+ = Pin # 31 ( EFI Main Relay )

Black/Yellow = BATT = Pin # 33 ( Battery )--- to the white/red at ECU (right)?

E, I won't go looking at the wires because I went by the Pin #'s to be correct. Wire colors between JDM and USDM diagrams are off, but the PINs are same so I will go by that. This will eliminate any errors...or sparks.. lol

Sent ya a PM... I don't have a speed sensor on my tranny, but trying to get another one now.

Still had some issues starting it up, so I'm skippin' it for now and getting to the other many things still left.

thanx!

Unraveling the wiring issue and found that I have continuity between ECU Pin #32 (Black/Red) and the outside housing of fuel pump resistor box.

I haven't finished going through all of it again, so I may find the issue in a bit. I was doing some continuity testing and one of the probes happened to touch the FP resistor and I got tone. Just wierd... There was not any continuity to the fender or other metal around it. Could the housing have come in contact with the power wire on the inside of the resistor?
