2J Motor Mounts - Wrong Ones?

Alright, so I bought a set of Pre-89 2J motor mounts on EBAY. Well, when I installed the 2J/R154... the motor is line up straight(left-to-right) but it sits about an 1" to 1.5" too far foward. The transmission mount has to be stretched back for the holes to line up and the oil pan is almost touching the Rack & Pinion. Also, the drive-shaft yoke is shorted the 1.5" and the back of the head is way off the fire wall.

So, I figured ok... EBAY mounts were the wrong ones. I bought another set of Pre-89 motor mounts, this time from Drift Motion. Well, when they came in; they were identical to the EBAY ones. So, I either have the wrong ones twice or this is how it's suppose to be. You can see in the pic, where the driver side mount is sitting an inch or so off the mount but the passenger side is completely on the mount.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Connect it to the bolt holes I circled.

The driverside bracket is offset to compensate for this shift.

I looked at it, those front two mounts aren't flush with the rear two. Also, this would move it back like four inches... it'll hit the firewall.

Does anyone have pics of their 2J mounts sitting in the bay? Preferably a side shot.

Ah, my bad, reading comprehension > me. When you said the driverside was sitting an inch or so off my brain went dumb I completely disregarded when you said the engine itself was straight. That said can we get a pic of how the trans mount looks? It might give me a better idea of what the issue is. I didn't run into such a problem when I put mine in.

Your mounts look like mine do I can't get a clear shot of the passanger side but here is the driver side.

Wait, I think i might know, check your trans mount there are two ways you can mount your rear mount, it can be adjust about 1 - 2 inches back or forward depends where the mount is on the trans at the time. It is 4, 12MM head bolts that go right into the trans. Check it out! and let me know!

Also what year Supra do you have? Was it a R154 from the Factory?

Pic might suck.

The red arrow shows 1 bolt, there is also one behind it, if you take those out on both sides, you can move it back* towards the rear of the car, and gain some room. The blue arrow shows the hole where the bolt will go, the other bolt will go where the red arrow is. The Blue arrow is where the red arrows bolt will go then.

Sorry I made it sound so complicated! This may not be your issue but this is the only thing I could think of!

It was! Transmission mount was flipped and the metal cover/spacers over the rubber motor mounts made up enough gap for the pan!
