Ask all you want. Just try not to ask the same thing twice after the first one was closed. I dot remember the first one but it prolly got closed for going way to off topic.

Biggest reason I can remember is that we tend to frown on bench racing:

Just go out and make it happen. If you lose, you lost in a 20 year old Toyota to a car with significantly more modern technology and probably in better overall condition. I'd say you really have nothing to lose there, other than tickets and impounding fees if you're dumb enough to do it on the street.
