That was pretty good.

Its interesting to think the the common driver does not know how to stop their vehicle when something does not goes as planed.
There is still an issue that Toyota needs to deal with. I am interested to see how Toyota is going to repair, and recover from this.

That was everything that I would say but I've never driven a Prius so I didn't know how the shifter or ignition system works.

My feelings, bottom line: If you can't control your vehicle within 30 miles, but can dial 911 (white haired guy), you deserve to have your license revoked permanently. No questions asked. If that were any other car, it would be called a failure to control vehicle and probably get you a pretty hefty ticket for driving to endanger.

99% of these stories are people on the freeway driving for long distances before bringing the vehicle to a stop. I think they should investigate all of these cases of "rapid acceleration" and if the "victims" have an agent, they should be found guilty of stupidity and fined for their actions. It's a publicity stunt!

It was an interstate! Was there ever any danger, or need to stop???????????????? Just steer the fucking car straight, a Prius can't go fast enough to be dangerous can it? The road doesn't end. Use the emergency lane if all lanes are block if you are too stupid to stop the car. He needed the cop to tell him to use his emergency brake to aid the process?

Honestly I believe that 95% of Toyota's problems are created by Government Motors need to recover. Yes there were problems dating back a while, but I believe the government saw the opportunity to get a return on their investment by manipulating the media to scare the shit out of America on a daily basis. That Prius guy was 50% stupid and 50% paid!

What I don't understand is why so much on toyota? What about the countless recalls that have killed A SHIT TON more people from ford or GM?
Anyone remember the firestone/bridgestone SUV issue?

My thoughts exactly. I had a bit of a rant the other day myself:

So Toyota has "killed" 58 people with their unintended acceleration problem. Heres the way I see it, If your car starts accelerating on it own and you cant think to either put the transmission into Neutral, or just turn the car off then boo-fucking-hoo. Did anyone eles feel that?? I think the world just got lighter.... Thank you toyota, for speeding up the process of natural selection.

Actually, the prius will do nearly 120. It's not a slouch like people assume it is.
