Can't we do a vote to which cars make it. It seems only fair that way. Just throwing in my opinion and I know everyone else would like the same. Votes would of course be after you have a very nice collection of worthy enough supras. It doesnt have to be a stretched out poll. First 20 votes on each supra chosen gets a spot. Out of 50 say. approx. 10 of each color for example. somewhere along those lines. Just trying to make it more of a community effort. IDK

I'm just guessing, but I suspect that her creative talent has been a large success factor in past calendars, and that Tanya is running a business, albeit a small one, but a business.

Not everything has to be a "group effort"... ;)

also. why the rush. you said november. thats 3 weeks away.

Considering that this thread has been up since 6/1/2009 (127 days) and she's only gotten 9 cars so far, I don't think she's "rushing". :nono:

I think Tanya should do whats easiest for her, we don't want it to become a burden to make this Calendar. All to often these things grow bigger and bigger as the years progress and they get out of hand. so I say Tanya makes it the way she wants votes or not. I like the surprise voting on pics might give away the surprise.

I know I keep saying it T, but within an hour of my car kicking over, I is getting you pics.

If only someone could come watch the little one so there was time to work on it and get it done sooner :(

I have bought every year of these since T has been doing them, and her choice of cars has never let me down before.

OK, maybe some of the cars that are no longer owned by the owner, or no longer even running have been a tad irritating. But, the cars have always been worthy. The current calendar is the best so far, and they have improved every year since she has started. I say she keeps doing them how she is doing them. One year I'll have a car that is worthy. I'm about a week or two away now, but it's too late for me this time since I'm red.

I need 3 more pics before I can finish this calendar.

New rule:

NO MORE RED CARS.

And stop sending me junk pictures. This years calendar is not going well at all. I gave everyone plenty of time to get ready, and yet I have people sending me their SIG PICTURES and other ridiculousness :3d_frown:

No pics of cars in parking lots where you can see OTHER cars in the background please!!!

NEED. HIGH. RES. PICS.

PLEASE RE-READ MY FIRST POST and follow my guidelines so I can get this done and get these off to you!!

That's just a low blow, and I sent you new ones, I do hope they pleased you. :biglaugh:

Last year was the first year I purchased one as I was very happy to soon have an all mk3 calendar (and the only one of it's kind). But I remember after going through it, I felt a bit disappointed. (and yes I know it's not easy getting pics from people let alone the desired res you request to use) but it seems as though none were of the right size or they were cropped and enlarged. It also looked to show strange color values(maybe still in RGB?) And no offense to the owner who got a spot in last years, but a stock supra with stock 5 spokes just doesn't seem like calendar material to me. Esp. knowing how many tastefully modded supra's are here.

With that said and If I can be convinced otherwise to once again order one through you. I will without even hesitating. But If it's anything like last years I will prob just make my own calendar.

I know I can come off as being rude, and I'm not trying to be. I just feel like I needed to voice my opinion on it.

Yet you have a 5 spoke in your avatar, so even you can appreciate how stock supras have their own beauty not being changed. The calendar is meant to show all the aspects of the supra from modified to stock...at least that's that I believe Tanya was going for.

Yes, as our cars are old enouhg to be considered "classic cars," a good, clean, unmolested, stock car is the rarest...

Very true.. but for me that's the kind of car I'd like to see in person. And it would need to be mint.

I guess I'll be surprised then. lol :biglaugh:

I need another for the office :icon_bigg

First off,

...there is going to be at least one car in this new calendar that actually no longer exists. If you have a problem with it, then don't buy the damn thing, I don't care. I have a damn good reason for having this particular car in the calendar, along with the extensive photoshopping I did to "fix" the picture.

I've had to do a LOT of FIXING of peoples pictures this year. Quality has been horrendous. I've had to pshop clouds in some pics bc of the extreme over exposures.

Secondly, as is QUITE APPARENT by my very first post, I have tried to illicit the best pictures I can w/o sending professional photographers out or having you people hire them yourselves. I have received a lot of emails, a LOT and Ive had to throw most of them away because they were THAT bad.

It is unfortunate I cannot please you all. Some of you are content with the stock mk3s, some of you want nothing but the big dawgs, the drag and show queens, the trophy winners. I don't know if you guys think I'm a photo editor for Super Street, but I do not have the means of getting the kind of pics you want, I am trying my best.

I am sad to say I am very disappointed with this years calendar, and it may be the last I ever do. Since it is apparent people think they can do better than what I have done, and since I'm basically tired of adults acting like infants and not following the simplest of guideliness.

I used to have fun doing this, now I can't wait for it to be over. :3d_frown:

I'm sorry your feel the way you do Tanya, I know that this is a major task and I for one appreciate what you are doing because I'm sure that has taken more time than most of us could imagine. People do need to realize that this isn't a professional piece and that you are not being hired to do this. You do this because you care about the community and I think that is great. I will be sad if this is your last and I completely understand why it might be.

no no.. don't be discouraged. trust me I know how it is when you are given shit photos and are expected to make it into a masterpiece.:3d_frown: I deal with it most of the time. I'm an Art Director for a small ad agency.

At first I was under the impression you wouldn't accept pics under a required image size and clarity. So now it all makes sense.

^^ Stabe, why don't you pm her, or would you rather be publicly humiliated if they are over exposed etc... geez.

If she asks for a certain thing, people should read the guidelines and understand what she is trying to do. If you can't do it, (take pics) get someone who can, she puts a lot of effort in to this, she doesn't need to be fixing everyone's stuff.

On a different note, what do you need now to finish Tanya?
