Yeah, I noticed that too. My speedo read 150 mph when I hit 5500rpm in 5th with a 3.73 diff. I assume that's actually about 145 mph?NeatOman said:

my theoretical top speed with my 1j (7500rpm), MKIV rims (tire size 245/45/16) r154 5th gear (0.753:1) and final drive (4.3:1) would be 170. with 3.73s it would be 196.

so it would be possible to hit 200mph in a 7m, you just need to rev out to ~ 8k and have 3.73 gears and enough power to break through the wind.

no my little n.a doesn't go past 5900 on the freeway...
