It should be way faster then 11.2@130...its a high 10 car easy. They could probably shave a little of the 3.3 0-60 as well.

If you want to mess with a GT-R...get a Z06 and save some money.

Yep...him and others will say "Great car but M3 better value" or some BS like that haha. Top Gear is usually pretty good about numbers though. I just stopped reading about it until hard numbers came out. One of my fellow forumers on LS1 Tech got a hold of 2 of them and put them on the dyno. They came back with some pretty awesome numbers stock and picked up 40-50RWHP with just a tune...NO MODS! I think they got it to 570ish RWHP.

It has everything needed for high tens EXCEPT traction. Get some sticky tires and it should be a REAL fun car.

There is a guy running 11.2s in his Z06 with street tires and 10.9s with DRs...ZR1 should be tens no matter the tire as long as its a good one.

Top Gear rips on the Corvette for being a bit unrefined, but they praise it for it's value as a giant killer...

I think the Corvette is refined...but who cares...you buy that car for the speed not to be refined...get a Bentley or Benz if you want that.

That is a good call on the 1/4 test BTW...didn't think about that.

IIRC, criticism from Top Gear of the "unrefined" covette stemmed from the C6 ZO6 being a beast on the track (high praise and two thumbs up from Top Gear on the track)... but being clumsy and rough at low speeds on public roads and in town/highway driving. Like, every crack would break your back.

The hot new magnetic shock system on the ZR1 will probably remove this point.

theres about 5 09 vettes cruising around town here. all over 700whp.

one has a stroker ls6 with a big ass supercharger, RMCR dynoed it at 759 to the wheels.....before tune! :aigo:


(i say big ass supercharger because i was to dumbfounded looking at the beautiful engine bay to ask what kind it really was lol)

Guessing it was a ProCharger...they are pretty popular with the Vette guys.

The new Magnetic Susp is pretty sweet indeed.
