I really hope this turns out better than last year. Doing this can be pretty stressful as a lot of people want it to happen, but I can't make people go out and do this. The Girls of SM calendar has already tanked, but I'd like to keep this one going.

Sorry, no one gets to choose their month this time. No reservations guys! First come, first approved, first served!

Rules HAVE to be followed, or the picture simply won't make it in.

Pictures must be VERY large, take at MAX RESOLUTION. If you don't have, or can't borrow a 3 megapixel or more camera, don't bother trying as it will be too small.

Car needs to be relatively centered in the pic, but it can't take up the WHOLE frame or it will be cut off when the calendar gets printed.

Choose a decent background. Try to make it contrasting so the car pops out and not blends in.

Please make sure your car is CLEAN. I don't want to be photoshopping off dirt again!

Please also submit your full name, cars year, whether it is turbo, n/a or targa/hardtop.

NO OTHER VEHICLES IN THE PICTURE, come on guys, let's be smart about this...

5MP?? Damn, my poor 'ol 3.2MP digicam is finally outdated... :-(

Keep in mind, though... Optical quality of the camera effects the actual outcome of the image tenfold more than the sheer amount of pixels used... 3MP is good for a quality 8x10 shot, which is what the Cafe Press calanders I've seen in the past use...

I do know this, but it seems people want to keep sending me rediculously low res pics so I need to make a point to stress the fact it HAS TO BE high resolution. Doing this can get very stressful, and I don't want to have to hang up my hat on this because people can't read and/or comprehend what I've typed.

I will be at the steele event oct. 20, and will have my 8mp SLR camera. If anyone is going to be there that needs a high res I can take it there for them.
Or anytime if they wanna come to Athens, AL. :)

Tanya. You may want to give people an actual example of the dimensions you are looking for. Some people don't quite understand that if you take a picture with a 10MP camera and cut out a picture that is 1000x1200 pixels that does not make the new image 10MP.

oohh.. I really like that one! just need to photochop those people out of the background.. but I love how it goes mk4, mk3, mk4, mk3, mk4...

I think it should have been an MK3 to start with but what can ya do!
