2008 Challenger

Anyone else here going to be buying one?
Im no fan of new cars WHAT SO EVER, but this one looks promising. especially because they havent changed it that much.
Ill probably be buying one when they come out :evil2: :evil2:

Now *this* i can forgive for being OHV engine based....only $38k (£17k!!) for the SRT version and it looks FUCKING FANTASTIC!

Shame they're not offering manual gearboxes though

They need to remake vanishing point with one of these

I'd bet the T56 out of the 98+ F bodys, new GTOs and Corvettes would bolt up. No more auto problems =]

Looks freakin badass. I really like some of these newer American muscle cars. (Roush(sp?) Mustangs, GT500's, Charger, Challenger, GT40)

Though I still like the old body styles MUCH, MUCH more than the new ones. Oh well, at least the new ones are sort of close.

Yes, after the intial release.

For '08 there are only a limited number of cars being produced (5500). They are all going to be SRT-8's and automatic. The following year, the line-up is going to be extended [from just the 6.1L] to include a 3.5L V6, and the 5.7 V8.
Both V8s with then be offered with 5spd autos and 6spd (T56) manuals.

I don't know if I like it.. but I know that when my wife worked at a Chevy dealer, I would occasionally drool over the Charger SRT8 - particularly in black or red.

Lol... Parked out in front of the Dodge dealership around the corner is a GT500.

I'm pretty sure they don't have much say over what they sell... They just sell whatever makes the money.

BTW, the guy that owns that Dodge dealership says he's gonna put me in a Challenger when they get theirs. Test Drives FTW!!!

i like it, i saw a pretty sweet one last year at the pri show in orlando. i cant remember what company had it already but they had done aot of work to it. ill probably buy one when they come out with a manual transmission.

I don't really like the look of any new dodge cars.
They have the need to stick that ridiculous looking grill on everything they produce for one.
They raped the Charger making some bastardization and calling it a Charger and this one isn't as bad but blah.
