do they go from a sensor on the pass side of the trans over the top? or do they come from the drivers side of the trans?

They connect to the 1JZ wiring harness below the intake manifold. there should be a long lead bundled with a 4-pin square connector for the ABS, and a 1 wire spade connector for the starter motor.

They are the reverse lights...
From the engine loom it comes with 2 wires (one yellow and one red black)
that end to a female plug.
The R-154 wiring, also has 2 wires (yellow and yellow...yeh same colour)
and end on a male plug.

A little confusion on my end here....

On the driver's side of the R154, i have two wires (black, white) coming out. Aka, reverse light switch. Now, the loom under the intake of the 1JZ has a 4 pin female that connects to the R154 harness from the other side. The engine loom also has a 2pin female, but the colors aren't any of those described here - Yellow and Pink/purplish. Same wires?

The drivers side wires are the SPEED SENSOR. It says it right on the sensor! That goes to the ABS computer. The pass side is the Reverse Light switch.
