alright first...ISC switch. i'm curious on who's still running with it? is it necessary to run coolant through it? i live in florida and i'm curious if i even need it or if i need to run coolant through it. it's hooked up but i just have the coolant ports capped off. so yea what do you guys think? how is everyones set up?

SECOND...
i need to know what these two connectors go to...

this one is just above the brake master cylinder

and this one is like just off the junction box by the battery but hangs down. i'm not sure what that is to...

any answers would be greatly appreciated on both subjects :biglaugh:

bottom one should be for the an a/c fan... but the top one i've NEVER seen before...

and you should really clean up that wiring by the clutch master cylinder... looks horrid!

the top pic definity doesn't go to the master cylinder or the cruise control and those are the only two connectors i know of up there and i dont have it on my car unless it goes down to the tranny and is just in the wrong spot i know the ones to the tranny are running trough the main harness and drops down to the back of the engine. other than that i have no ideas.

JetJock hit it right on the nose, it's the connector for the anti-theft horn. That relay (or whatever it is) above the clutch master is in the spot where the TDS horn is supposed to be.

Yeah, aside from just knowing it's funny how the location, connector type, connector color, and wiring colors exactly match those of the theft horn and how all that information is clearly shown in the TEWD. Go figure ;)

Okay you're confused.

Everyone who isn't standalone is running an Idle Speed Controller.

The water running through it is for sub-zero temps. (and it's a common thing to bypass on many cars.)

You'd be an idiot to run without it on a stock ECU. (the ISC)

Ummm....because the stock ECU uses it to control idle? ;)

Yes you can remove the coolant lines from the ISCV. The only thing that may happen (remote) is it will ice up with the right OAT and humidity.

I have run on the stock ECU without the ISC. Just have to bump the idle to atleast 900rpm. I now run one on my FFIM in my new car just because it is nice. No coolant lines need as stated it is for the very rare case that things ice over but you are in florida so no worries. I personally just pull the fittings out as they are just pressed in.

Just so long you realize you will lose warm-up (fast-idle), electrical load, and A/C load idle-up control without an ISCV on a stock ECU.

-Warm-up - my right foot at about 1.5% throttle
-Not sure how it affects the electrical load
-NO A/C

But needless to say it is best to run it for simplicity!

O and thank you I can't wait till the day that I get to finish that car but for now my 92' is fun to drive!

Guess it works for YOU Seth...might not be the case for someone else though ;)

And that is why I said to just run it!...lol You old grouchy guys!...lmao

As with everyting else someone will claim it worked perfect for them and others will say it was SH*T.

But it was put there for a reason so run it!

i just dont understand why people DOWNGRADE in such a way. who the hell wants to have to hold the pedal down for the car to warm up or handle a higher electrical load? its a nice car and failing to properly fix or implement the ISC with a new set up is just plain lazy.
