So I've got a 91 Accord and:

1. Some of the dash lights dont work sometimes. Its just the lights behind my heater/ac controls. My temp knobs will work if i hit(love tap) the top of the dash, but the others dont turn on. Sometimes, they will be on and then if i hit a button(even lightly), they turn off. They always turn off if i hit a button. Would this jsut be a loose wire? (My stereo was ripped out by some scum thief so that may have contributed)

2. I (stupidly) had pepboys check my A/C system before a recharge. They found a leak in my system so I waited to fix it. Well now I'm going to replace it, but they disabled my A/C system so it doesn't turn on. Is there a universal way to "disable" an A/C system? The light in the cabin that notifies me when its on doesn't turn on so its the entire system.

Thanks guys!!!!!!

oh and if this can be in Gen. Disc. please move it there.

I have/had a 92 EX...

1) could most likely be a loose connection behind the dash...

2) Removing the AC fuse is your best bet...another way to do it would be to change the belt with a shorter one that doesn't go around the AC compressor.

PS: Damn...I miss my Accord.

Well I'd want 2,500. and its in good shape overall. Little stuff just keeps popping up. I just ordered 170 bucks worth of interior trim to top off the interior. If you want I can PM you some pics once I get those installed.

Little body rust on the rear wheel well like every accord

Clutch master and slave cylinder have very small leaks and could use replacement, but not essential.

The antennea mast is gone, but I never it worked before I bent it and yanked it out.

PM me if you're really interested

They may have recovered what was left in the system in anticipation of having to take it apart to repair your leak. Then, when you decided not to have them do it, they simply didnt charge back in the small amount of freon that was in there. Its not too great for your compressor to be running with that little of a charge anyway.

Is the master cylinder leaking under the carpet?

Well one mechanic said it was, and I checked and couldn't see what he was talking about. The carpet right below the rod looks dirty and maybe like it got some fluid on it, but there's no trail of fluid or anything. I was very confused. I'll get a pic of it and show you exactly what I mean.

Then when i had the timing belt done a month ago, they said it wasn't leaking badly and wasn't vital, but was in need of a replacement sometime in the near future.

P.S. I got all my parts in today, I won't have a chance to put in the A/C hose until next weekend, but the interior parts will be going in this week. (yay:))

Also, I had no luck locating any bad wiring or loose/bad grounds this week. The center of the dash is somewhat hidden by sheet metal incasing the components and the wires behind them. :(
