Since you've done it, would I be able to take to you guys about infor on doing it, buying motor mounts, wiring, etc.?

I've got a cressida (1st gen). And it has no engine at all right now. I'd like to have as plug and play a swap as possible. I can get a 1uz I'm sure. Did you guys use the 1JZ transmission? I have a good stock auto, but I'd rather just go with the better transmission.

I do have a W58 laying around too.

My cressida is the last year of the 4 lug cressidas (the kind that uses the MKII diff/wheels etc.) I don't remember which year, and I forget where I put the title.

The cressida (mx73) I have is a third jen 85-88, mine is 88.... 1988 is the last year, and the IRS is the same as a mkII.. so you can use the LSD from a MKII... The Transmission I used the LS400 A341e whitch came with the 1uz-fe.. When chosing a engine for your cressida, i would use LS400 engine an engine harness because, the harness matches (not plug in play) but more to the cressida chasis harness then the SC400... oh but the ALT harness does pulg right in too the 1uz-fe ALT, and its on the same side;]

it's designed like a full out race block with 6 bolt mains.
You can rev the crap out of them unlike oldschool v8's
They can be found for as little as 250$ Complete, and I've heard of people getting them for less. I think the guy with this car got his for 150$ and it runs without a single issue.
The block is somewhere in the range of 150 Lbs lighter than the 7m!
Hemi type combustion chamber.
and the list goes on and on and on....

An assembled 7MGTE with accessories weighs 440 lbs and the 1UZFE weighs 370 lbs. It is a good engine with a lot of upside.
