Greetings..new to here, not new to the MA's..

But..

Been considering the Lexus V8 for some time, since I checked one out at Arnout's shop in the NL.

Has the 'world' of this swap progressed enough so that there is a place to "get the things" that you need, or is it still a treasure hunt thru the forums

Many thanks..and hello to the rest of the oldskool'ers.

Check out lextreme.com
That whole site is dedicated to the lexus V8s, and there is a whole subforum for the UZ supra swaps. If you can't find something there, or need additional help, just give me a PM, as I've done quite a few of these conversions.

Thank you Mr. Jesus.

I'll be gathering stuff over the year..no hurry. Car's been in the garage for 3 already.

When Damocles let the supra list die..I stopped working totally on the car it seems.

Still can't believe the list is dead. Hit me up sometime and we can talk about the swap. I can provide a list of parts required, with vendors, part numbers, and prices. There are still a couple of things that have to be fabbed, but otherwise it is a straight forward swap.

BTW, my build thread on here is at http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58535

The official build page is in my sig below.

Im in the process of makeing a 'kit' to put the 1uz in a mk3 supra...

Chrises mounts, aluminum flywheel, R154 or w58 adaptor plate, and support such as wireing diagrams and parts list from the local parts store.

Are Chris's mounts still only for '89+ or does he now do pre-89 as well? If the growing number of comments/threads here and other places are of any indicator, seems like putting together a kit of the harder to find parts is an excellent idea.

Post 89 mounts only but he has the pre 89 mounts mostly made, im gunna put a little pressure on him to complete those so i can offer kits for both pre and post and also for R and W

I did make some progress on this 'kit' today the design of the W58 adaptor is complete, and will be cut out soon. I have everything sitting out on the bench to design the R154 adaptor so that will be completed very soon. Next will be a flywheel, im waiting on a flex plate to come to me as i dont have one. and work on the flywheel can start.
