It wasn't even really anyone who deserved the title "hacker" - there was a flaw in phpBB and this clown downloaded a piece of software designed to exploit it. It's one of the reasons we switched to vBulletin. Since we pay them, they stay on top of it, and patches come out all the time. The last upgrade to this software was for that exact reason. We had a patch 17 hours after the flaw was discovered.
