fuel cut around 4000k is not a good sign. have you done any work to the car recently that would be somewhat related to the problem your having (engine mechanical or fuel related)? stock injectors... aftermarket? check resistances on them with an ohmmeter according to the tsrm. think they should between 3-4ohms if im not mistaken... cant remember. but i would send them to get cleaned and flow tested if youve never gotten it done or dont know the history behind them.

Unless his supra is a Top Fuel Dragster its not getting 1MPG. So hes most likely exagerating. From the other thread he had an extreme high idle. No word on if he fixed that and what he did to fix it. If its not reaking of fuel and or blowing clouds of black smoke out the back its not running rich enough to be getting 1MPG. That pretty much leaves a fuel leak (which should also make it reak of fuel). Anyone see a fire sale in the near future?

:nono:

Take the car to a real mechanic...please!

The injectors even at 100% duty can not flow enough fuel to achive 1mpg, you must have a leak or are calculating your consumption wrong.

I think i might have it, do you have any bad neighbors that might be stealing your gas. i have had trucks at work have this same problem that they started getting around 1-2 mpg and turned out some was stealing all our gas. you might try a locking gas cap that i might make up your fuel problem. just a thought

lol, that's a damn good idea.

To the OP, it would help alot if you actually calculated your milage for us. Fill the car up with gas until the pump clicks out once and drive for about 100 miles (keeping track with your trip meter), then fill up again and let it click once. Then either give us how much fuel you used and how far you went, or figure out the milage yourself and tell us.

Without that information, "OMG MAH KAR GETZ 1MGP!" doesn't help much. If the tank isn't leaking like a seive, the best you could ever do is maybe 8MPG driving with the injectors wideopen.

Check your intercooler hoses. I had a small boost leak and it hit fuel cut at 4000rpms, and got about 2-4mpg. Just a thought

You can open the gas lid from the outside and no mess anything up. But i don't think crack heads would take the time it takes to be carefull. good luck on your quest
