I have a 91T with 1JZ (stock twins for now), R154, Tein Flex Coilovers w/ EDFC, ACT Stage 3 clutch, HKS intake, custom intercooler(2.5 inch w/ 24x9x3 intercooler), stock 1JZ 5spd Ecu, 3" Driftmotion downpipe, Random Tech cat, and Apex N1 Exaust.

I have a ~500HP goal.

I'm making my way on my journey to 500HP and I was wondering if a MAFT Pro setup should be a stop on my quest or just another blurr. Is there anyone running a Maft Pro with a 1JZ? How is it working? And would you recommend it, and of course, why?

Thanks,

John

I had the maf pro on my 7m and never could seem to get it quite right.

I am 1j now also with the twins, 440 injectors, I use the afc neo to help control things. I don't think I have ever heard of anyone wanting to use the pro on the 1z.

On a side note, I am looking into the flex's and the edfc as well.

How do you like the flex's? And the edfc is it all that or just kinda gimmiky?

Maybe you wouldn't mind shooting a couple pics of the edfc mounted in the dash.

Thanks

500 has been done with simple SAFC.

I prefer emanage, it works well with 1J and has timing control. The interface can be intimidating at first. The blue is also really cheap now, I have seen them for $100 (box only).

AFC for 440s and stockers, emanage or map ecu(1 or 2) for 440-550s, 680s and up you are better off with a standalone.

The flex's are awesome. I had them on my 05' EVO MR w/EDFC. I have the same setup on my MKIII. Just make sure the height is set up right.

So the edfc isn't just a gimmick box?

Think you could post some pics of the edfc installed?

Where did you buy yours?

I got it here together for $1500 shipped from CTSupra. Great price! But I had the car in the shop for a while and I just got it back so I really can't tell you much. Also, there isn't any power to the edfc. I'll get fixed though. But the EDFC worked fine in my 05' Evo MR. I just like it, maybe because it works or because it IS a gimmick, but you know what? I think it was work the money! ($1500 Tein Flex + EDFC)(BNIB). And that is what really matters here with our beloved money leechers.

I'll say something later when I get the EDFC back in working order.
