1jz xspower t61 dyno

how hard is it to tune for a different turbo??

i had a super t70 way back in the day.... made 550hp @33-35psi lol it only lasted about a month or 3 full days of driving lol the turbo sounded soooo pissed off lol. then i got a pt67 and made the same power on like 22psi lol.

i think i would be @400hp on the dyno jet though.... the butt dyno sure as hell feel it...
the turbo "supposed" to make 450 on pump at @18psi on a 2jz.....

im running a master power t-64, still on the stock ECU, with no tune it made 358whp 410wtq at 14.5psi, running 16psi now, tuned to 11.5 a/f it deff feels like its over 400whp


to the OP, i have no doubts that slapping a different turbo on will make a huge difference.
but damn those 1j's are torque-less:biglaugh:

oh and a lil off topic but what are you guys running for clutchs? mine is about shot and im leaning heavily toward the feramic disc clutches.

Something wrong with the tuning perhaps.

Our local car with XS t61 turbo (rebuilt by us) was 380-390hp stock ecu stock cams, then ~418hp 400tq with crower cams and no other changes.

We were boosting 17/18 psi, lowest setting with mk4 550s.

its a 58mm turbo and should make 550-580whp on high boost.. probably 450 on pump.

I agree with everyone that the numbers are very low. My Master power t61 .68 dyno looks identical to your yours. I made 327 whp with only 10.8 psi and average timing. I however do have a bigger mods list.
I am curious if your motor has ever had a leak down, or compression test.

its been compression tested, it runs very well....im gonna redyno on a dyno jet and swap out the turbos while im on the dyno and see.....the dyno that i was on reads lower than dyno jets......i think its just low #'s the car drives strong, we'll see ill keep it updated.....
