1JZ wont rev over 2000rpm (help)

Hi guys , i'm having a problem with my 1jzgte. Done a swap to the car recently and this problem happen few months later. The car wont accelerate over 2000rpm then when it drops down to 1500 rpm it accelerate again.. i took the car for a check up and my mech say he tested the ECU on another engine and it wont start with it. Is it my ECU being faulty ?? but why i can start up the engine with the ecu? Also i'm experiencing a bad electrical power ,My turbo timer keeps on running a countdown even though i'm driving the car. Then when i turn off the engine , i can see my apexi afc neo and rsm off and back on then my turbo timer start counting down... I need help solving this problems... thanx guys

So, he tried the ECU on another car and it wouldn't work? I'd say replace that ECU then. 1JZ ECUs are known for going bad, you can also repair them in if you are good at replacing that kind of thing (you need to solder in new caps or something like that )

If the ecu's not the problem, you may not be getting enough fuel. Try bypassing the stock fuel dampener.

Ben, check out the threads at the bottom of this page and see if any of them fixed their problems with something similar to yours.

weird problems tend to always be ECU related. otherwise it'll be timing...some sensor or timing is off
