1JZ wired into pre-89 turbo

Does anyone have experience with wiring a 1jz-gte into a pre-89 mk3 turbo? Is the 89+ harness compatible with the pre89, even with slight modification? if so how?
I am planning to purchase a motor from www.jdmtigerjapanese.com within this month, and want to know if I should get the engine with the harness, and especially if it will even work with what I've got. If anyone has done this specific swap or done business with this company I would appreciate your input and advice.

yes, I recently did.
I transfered the pre 89 body plugs onto the 1jz harness for the body connections. This way you can splice to the correct wire when you are extending.
You just need to know via the wiring pinouts that they are all in the right places.
