7M and 1JZ valve covers use the same gaskets, so they are the same shape. You would need to weld tabs onto the 7M head since the valve covers will warp if you weld them. Weld tabs onto the head and drill/tap them so you have somewhere to bolt the covers. I'd suggest highly modifying the plastic cover though so nobody mistakes you for a 1JZ.

Any idea how hard it is to weld Aluminum.... Yea... It would most likely to warp the covers.

I can make an adapter that will bolt down to the 7m head, using a 7m valve cover gasket.

The adapter will have thru holes that are chamfered or counter sunked for bolting to the 7m head.

The top of the adapter is flat and has the 1jz or 2jz bolt pattern for the valve covers. Taped holes. So all you do is lay the cover on and tighten it down using its valve cover gasket.

hopefully it wont raise the valve covers to high for the charge piping to not hit

Ehhhh wrong.

7m valve covers next to 1jz or 2jz covers are way thinner.

The 1jz and 2jz valves covers are a good 2-3" taller. Even if you didn't use a adapter and re welded the tabs, you wouldnt be able to run oem charge piping. FFIM would be required.

So... If it's a flat top, then how do the 1JZ valve covers sit on, since if they use the same gasket, they must have the same bumps at the front for the cam covers.

They do have the same bump. The one that's goes over the cam cap. All do, 7m, 1j, 2jz

I can't tell if you're trying to be a dick?

If so, in my post I said to weld to the head since welding to the covers would be a bad idea.

No, I wasn't trying to be Dick. Sorry. My comment was more taken off of Ij and yours... I see how that came across. Again, sorry "Rick".
