1jz, 7m...the arguments will continue forever. but yes, there are more available front clips for the 1jz. you have to remember though: 1jz front clip = 7m BHG parts car. total front clip = total car. just depends on the conditions of both and where/who you buy them from.

I personally prefer a torquey engine so 7M is easier and since I actually got the Turbo model I don't need fuss with swapping engines, so for me a lot easier than going to get a 1jz, not to mention if you do a swap like that on your own costs can add quick you may need to rent equipment, help, or other things, buy parts cuz some are broke or won't fit up and all that I doubt its gonna be 2500 flat you may even spend more, Good luck to ya and have fun but I'll just deal with modding this 3.0 liter and not trouble myself with the likes of swapping. If I were gonna spend all that effort I'd personally go with a 2jz and 6 speed swap or a Lexus 4.6 V8TT

don't be fooled into thinking the engine doesn't have torque because it's 2.5L

WERD UP!!! Joe!

7M= Geheyooooooo!!

I guess if my mkiii didnt come N/A Auto and it was a Turbo 5 spped i prob. would have tryed to mod up the 7M untill it blew a HG, then go with my super sweet mega torque monster 1J......

I cant belive the 7M guys use that lame ass excuse..It has no torque..ohhhh ok buddy... They act like the 7M is a fucking big block V-8, the torque between the 1J and 7M is not that much different...But this is one of those arguments that will never end....

wow, I didn't know it was time for the once a month 7m/ 1j battle. I swear you could set a timer for about once every month and a thread like this would start. my .02 is NOTHING is ever as good as it sounds, your goin to go over you budget it might not be much but it WILL happen. whatever engine you go with you can look at; with the 7m it will be fully rebuilt and you can do it right ie: forged internalls(which is a really fun setup) or go with the stock 1j and then you path to bpu begins. a rebuilt motor is fine I just like the idea of a motor with only 40k on it instead of a rebuilt one who's head has been resurfaced twice and rebuilt, the block still has 200k+. but I have driven and enjoyed both. to each their own and leave it at that.

cough, cough 2j....sorry
