i'll throw out a guess that your fuel pump is not turning on, it runs for a split second and dies.. sounds just like it =P how my car would act if i tried to start it with the fuel pump off..(switch)

also check your codes. if you throw a code 14, your ecu is dead.

mine did something similar, hopefully its you fuel, thats much cheaper and less annoying

Check fuel pressure. I had helped with a 1JZ swap where the fuel pump wasn't getting sufficient voltage, and wasn't supplying adequate fuel. The wiring guy bypassed the stock harness and wired the fuel pump to a relay directly to the battery and all went well.

I just swapet my car to a 1jz too. at first it had the same problem, i had the fuel pump connected to the computer. after that i connected it strait to the battery and it worked fine.
