I have done a 1jz swap on my supe, I'm quite impressed with it except it is not quick enough to keep up with my mates bmw m3 evolution 321bhp

I have turned the boost up to 14psi using a hks evc4, induction kit and 3" exhaust

What would be the next step for more bhp? some people have said the y-pipe should be changed

Please help as I need to wipe the smile of my mates face

Man, some of you people are worthless. Why post at all if you are going to be sarcastic or ridicule the guy?

I'd recommend completing the exhaust side after the turbos before anything else. If you still have the stock cat, I'd recommend replacing it with a high flow cat (like I did) or getting rid of it altogether. Also, if you are still using the stock downpipe that would be the next big bang for your buck modification. Replace it with a bigger diameter and freer flowing downpipe.

With full turbo back exhaust, and 14 psi, you shouldn't have trouble beating a car with 321 crank hp.

Try a few more psi of boost. You'll need a BCC to get past boost cut.

I'm with OneJoeZee on mods

Also,Since your swap sounds fairly recent, I would check for any problems that may be causing you to lose some HP. Boost leaks and the shaft of the ignition coils come to mind.

Are you on an Auto tranny?

Sorry to go slightly off topic, but I'm interested into why you decided to go through the swap route when you could have gotten a 1JZ jap import ?

Are you sure that's a good idea, Joe? Isn't much over 14 pushing it on stock injectors?

If the injectors are in good condition, it'll be ok if the AFRs are in check. Although 440s for stock twins would be good for peace of mind.

the injectors can handle it as he isnt making enough power for the stock injectors to run out of fuel, i run 16-18 psi all day beating on my 1jz and i have no problems.
