I would hold off on the FCD install until you find out what's going on that is causing the power output to be low. What was the afr like during the dyno pull/s? The AFC should be the next item installed and tuned on the dyno, because with a proper tune you can hit 300whp without hitting fuel cut.

thanks guys! what do i do with the one from the gas tank? right now its blocked off.

Don't block it off.
It runs together with the fuel lines and the rear brake line under the car. It rises along the firewall on the lefthand side. I cut it about halfway and bended it back so it is pointing backwards a little under the car. It's made of steel so it won't break easily.

hey rich, what happens if u block it? ill unblock it.

heres the update:
i wasnt hitting boost cut, i was bouncing off the rev limiter. i think my tach is off, i redline at 6500rpm. also my car doesnt cold idle, it just starts and is where it is, huh.
i blocked the stock bov line and my car didnt die, almost but doesnt. i looked over the boost controller install just to make sure things were right, they were. i progressed to checking out the settings on the controller, it was off, damn. well i turned it on and set it at 12lbs. boosted and one time i saw 13lbs. my eye was on the wideband the whole time and it was still really rich at wot.
how much more boost would be safe? what do u guys run at? my boost reading is kind of erratic, is this normal for electronic boost gauges?
thanks all.

This is where the fueltank breathes through. When you fill up your tank, the air in the tank needs to go somewhere. It will both go via the fillerpipe and this line, at that moment you will smell some gas fumes at the end of this line, thats why there is this charcoal canister, to nutralize these fumes. (Who cares, there's tons more fumes escaping when you fill up your tank...)
Anywayz, when you start using up fuel the level in the tank will drop and air needs to take up this space. This is when air is sucked in through this line.

If you block it off, there will be a mild vacuum created in the tank as the level drops, don't think it could do any harm though, the tank is strong enough, it won't collapse or something.

When my tank wasn't vented, I had vapor lock problems on hot starts due to the fumes in the tank.

to the OP, you're running a GT40 what? GT40-88, GT40-82, GT40-94?

FWIW, my stock twins made 315whp@10psi, and my GT40-88 made 400whp@15psi.

GT4088. my car runs pretty good besides it not holding boost. i think i got a very small vacuum leak somewhere. some of my hoses are teed of unecessarally and dont have hose clamps on them. the one coming off my wastegate that is teed to the manifold doesnt have clamps on them. if i give it a few minutes in between pulls it'll hit the boost its set at. if i pull right after another the boost will be 2-3lbs less. the highest ive hit is a 13.8lbs with the boost controller set at 14lbs.

im lovin the car all over again though. is anyone running the osgiken twin disk? i love how it feels and holds but only two things kinda sorta buggin me. when i step on the clutch pedal, u can hear noises like the disc is spinning on each other. also when i shift, theres a chirp. its not too bad though.

I managed to run 18psi with a boost leak like this:

Silicone%20Coupler%20Hole.JPG

Just didn't hit it until 6500rpm :)

You're not the most subtle person when it comes to handling your engine are you? :icon_wink LOL!

damn! that kinda sounds like what mine is doin. wont hit peak boost until @redline, doesnt even hit it all the time at that.
im gonna use a boost leak tester and run @30psi to see if i can find a problem, wish me luck!

I would say it's almost certain that there must be a serious leak somewhere.

You probably wouldn't even need to pressurize the system to find it. I bet the hole/rip in one of your couplers is very visible if you check them all over.

yeah man, i was hoping for a rip or some big ass hole but checked them over and over already. hopefully pressurizing the system will yield some results.
im lovin it though, the car is an awesome car. a true sports car.

will be doing leak testing friday. turned down my boost to 12lbs. and it went to 13.8, wtf!!! it isnt consistent. my wastegate opens up around 10.5lbs. is this normal? shouldnt it open at whatever boost setting its supposed to be? i hope i find some leaks or something. also my car runs really rich.

i found some leaks, they are costing me about 6-8lbs of boost. damn, cant believe he put my car on the dyno with it like that and didnt even bother fixing it after. anyways, its leaking at the elbow of the compressor housing and bov flange. bad welds. guys at my work are gonna fix it, i refuse to take my car back up there.
when i was testing, the wastegate never opened up, even at 15lbs. dunno, i checked for leaks at those lines and made sure everything was tight. one thing at a time though.
scared the crap out of me the first time i put the tester on at 20lbs, BAM! popped right off, haha. tried it at 10lbs, same. repositioned it and didnt move at all up to 15lbs. nothing else leaked, so i pulled some vacuum hoses off to make sure air was getting there and it was.
sorry so long but im really excited about getting this thing going right. thanks guys!

pulled off the housing and the pipe to get it rewelded, but the rewelding wasnt great. still have a couple pin hole leaks. im gonna jbweld it until i find a good welder, i want it to pretty much be cut and redone. should be boosting better though. hopefully jbweld will fix pinhole leaks.
